Jonathan Anderson<\/a>\u2019s Dior<\/a> woman knows how to balance fluidity and structure with the utmost cool. It\u2019s a message that the Northern Irish designer first shared in his womenswear debut for the French house earlier this year<\/a>, as he hand-pleated silk into knots and paired architectural lines with floating fabrics. Come pre-fall, that message still rings true.<\/span><\/p>\n

Released via the designer\u2019s Instagram earlier today, the offering includes looks that are both bold and subtle in their beauty. <\/span><\/p>\n

Cascading swathes of silk printed with delicate flora form dresses that have been pinned and gathered to create effortlessly graceful silhouettes. <\/span>Rich with Dior references, much like his debut, the Bar jacket has inspired long-line, minimalist coats as well as shrunken versions\u00a0 that are threaded with loose bow-tied ribbons. A connoisseur of playing with proportions, oversized slacks and jeans, with triple the amount of fabric required, are paired with simple suede jackets and <\/span>boucl\u00e9 cardigans. <\/span><\/p>\n

The occasion wear draws on similar themes established by Anderson in his debut, this time adjusting for the winter season. Slinky black gowns with oversized bows that sprout from the hips offer a more minimal option, whilst statement pieces, like a white faux fur-timmed coat with a train emblazoned by flowers and a blue party number with tulle details, are impossible to ignore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon closer inspection, some pieces are even more exquisite. Coats fastened by elongated, thin pins, chunky faux-fur scarves, gold buckles with ‘CD’ chiselled into their centres and gold rings shaped like ladybugs make this collection utterly delightful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
