Carhartt WIP is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its Active Jacket with four special editions and a dedicated campaign lensed by photographer Aidan Zamiri and styled by Hamish Wirgman. First launched in 1997, the Active Jacket remains a wardrobe staple loved for its loose oversized silhouette, bomber style shape and triple stitching.
Carhartt WIP has released four variations of the jacket which include a block colour and camouflage canvas, denim & leather. The brand’s signature Dearborn is used for two distinct styles: one in black and red reverse, which pays homage to the original Active Jacket and another in Hamilton Brown, showcasing the new ‘camo trebark’ print. The denim variation comes in a stone-bleached finish offering an intentionally worn look and for those seeking a more elevated style the leather variation packs a punch with its brown reverse side.
The Anniversary Edition OG Active Jackets is now available at select global retailers and Carhartt WIP stores, as well as on the brand’s website.
