Six years in the making, Valentino Beauty has officially launched its newest prestigous olfactory experience, Vendetta. Reimagined from Valentino Garavani’s iconic 1991 release, the new fragrance bridges the gap between the Maison’s rich heritage with a new contemporary vision of luxury. The collection debuts as a dual release offering two complementary scents that explore connection, individuality, and self-expression.
Vendetta Donna, composed by master perfumer Dominique Ropion in collaboration with perfumer Andrew Everett, leads with the sensual tuberose, an almost intoxicating and heady scent. The flower is then processed through what Valentino calls Air Capture technology, bringing flowers’ depth to the surface, red orange nectar and sandalwood are then added to complete the sultry scent.
By contrast, Vendetta Uomo, composed by master perfumer Marie Salamagne, is Valentino Donna’s woody, magnetic and masculine counterpart. Packed with a shot of Peruvian ginger oil, Italian citrus and a mixture of cinnamon liquor accord and various spices, giving the perfume a warm, addictive scent.
And who better to bring the raw, irresistible energy of Vendetta to life than Dakota Johnson and Alexander Skarsgård. The global launch kicks off with a series of bold, sensual visuals featuring the two actors, paving the way for an upcoming cinematic campaign film that promises to bring Valentino’s newest fragrance story to the screen.
