Nine Artists Reimagine Valentino Garavani’s DeVain Bag

Your favourite Valentino Garavani bag now has the artist’s touch.

First launched as part of Alessandro Michele’s pre-fall 2025 collection, the DeVain bag has been reimagined by nine international artists who’ve each transported the nifty little number to exciting new realms.

The soft clutch bag, available in a variety of finishes including nappa, crochet raffia and multicoloured embellishment, now finds itself in a series of different creative worlds envisioned by big names in the contemporary art world.

Today the house has revealed the first five works of the digital project, with the final four due to arrive December 1. Here, you’ll find the work of Chicago-based Paul Octavious, who has utilised AI to teleport back to the future in a Medieval style setting. Artists Enter The Void and Albert Planella also use artificial intelligence to aid in their storytelling. The former has crafted a daydream-like scenario which sees models venture through an underwater city, while Planella, who is based in Barcelona, has created his own miniature circus show for the project.

Elsewhere, Tina Tona, who splits her time between Los Angeles and Maryland, created a series of vivid collages spotlighting the DeVain, while Thomas Albdorf has worked on a hypnotic visual that captures the must-have bag up close and personal. Let yourself be transported by these Valentino wonderlands.

The video and images by artists Enter The Void, Paul Octavious and Albert Planella were generated using AI. All featured imagery by Enter The Void was used with the informed consent of the models here portrayed and of all the talents involved. Shop the DeVain bag here
