In Milan, “Prada Galleria” opened its doors – and it’s a full experience

Fancy a deep dive into the world of Prada directed by Miuccia Prada herself? Then “Prada Galleria” is the right address for you. More specifically and accurately: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Right inside Milan’s iconic 19th century shopping arcade, the Italian brand’s latest project allows you to immerse yourself into their multifaceted universe.

From retail and hospitality to art and history, “Prada Galleria” spans over a total of eight floors, showcasing the core of what is Prada’s heritage in one permanent space. And while the everyday mass of tourists tightly and eagerly gathers in the heart of Milan’s most famous and expensive shopping destination, there’s a new subterranean passage connecting two sides of the building – and the two locations of Prada, namely Prada Donna and Prada Uomo.

So, what does the immersive experience look like exactly? On the lower levels, expanded retail spaces and Pasticceria Marchesi 1824 are found, topped by the “Pradasphere”. This is where history – both in terms of the company and the Prada family – comes into play, spanning from the house’s founding in 1913 to the present. Given its permanence, the exhibit can be understood as more of a museum, which is open to the public starting 29th September 2026. The upper level floors are dedicated to private shopping as well as the Osservatorio Fondazione Prada, where the focus is on contemporary technology and photography.

Prada enthusiasts know: It’s never just clothes. Miuccia Prada, also now together with Raf Simons, will always be about the bigger picture. The brand is built on continuously and intuitively tapping into the zeitgeist. Whoever they’ve collaborated with, whatever served as inspiration, it was always a dialogue and never a one-way-street. Just like at “Prada Galleria”, there are many ways to experience it.
