Cecilie Bahnsen Celebrates the Magical Feeling of ‘Dressing Up’ for Pre-Fall 2026

Photographed by Nadine Ijewere and styled by Nathan Klein, Bahnsen explores the ceremony and magical feeling of dressing up, a series of almost choreographic movements we sometimes take for granted. “The campaign draws on the intimacy of childhood rituals, dressing in your Sunday best, the quiet moments before stepping into the world. Nadine captures that in‑between feeling, the imperfection before completion. There’s a softness in her gaze that feels both dreamlike and grounded.” Cecilie states. Focusing on the becoming rather than the complete, the campaign documents the intimate moments between friends dressing up.

Bows have long been at the core of Cecilie Bahnsen’s signature designs, here they show up in various ways, guiding the collection and weaving throughout the campaign. Slouchy silhouettes collapse effortlessly against the body, while layering elevates pieces from everyday staples to occasion ready looks. “There’s something beautiful about the idea of dressing up with no particular reason,” says Cecilie Bahnsen. “This collection is a reminder to cherish those moments. To dress not because we must, but because we can. For ourselves, with friends, as a kind of shared joy.” Ijewere captures this form of sisterhood sublimely, showing a bond that is emulated through the collections flouncy, couture-like pieces perfectly.
