Celine Gives Reebok’s Classic Freestyle Lo a Modern Makeover

After its first appearance on the runway for Michael Rider’s June menswear show, the Celine x Reebok Freestyle Lo drops today in full effect.

The classic sneaker gets a contemporary upgrade by Rider, whose most recent collection for the French maison is in itself a seamless blend of heritage codes, reimagined for the modern world. Amongst the array of accessories –wooden beads and colourful cummerbunds, unveiled during his first standalone menswear show in Paris last June, the Reebok Freestyle Lo’s were arguably one of the standouts of the show. Marking Celine’s first official collaboration with Rider at the creative helm, focusing on the ‘tension between heritage and forward motion,’ as Rider describes it.

Crafted from soft, supple leather with a lived-in feel, the sneaker is available in eight distinct colourways. The lineup pairs everyday classics like white, black, and beige with rich hues like ‘Peanut’, ‘Oxblood’, and ‘Dark Brown’, alongside standout pops of ‘Fluo Red’ and ‘Butter’. It’s a showcase of Rider’s signature colour play, where he mixes vibrant primary shades with the house’s classic bourgeois palette. Fully encompassing the statement ‘One style. 8 colours. Infinite possibilities.’

The Celine x Reebok Freestyle Lo launches today in selected stores and on Celine.com, with exclusive regional colourways available exclusively at Celine’s Wooster Street location in New York and Omotesando in Tokyo.
