An examination of friendship and the evolution of that relationship, was the initial inspiration for ‘Understudy’, shot by Amber Grace Dixon and styled by Lucia Heath.
Dissecting the word through the lens of science, academia and inter-personal connection, the editorial has become a mult-layered ode to trust, discovery and experimentation. Textiles encapsulated in clean silhouettes, unexpectedly paired elements such as botanical and metal elements, all communicate the creative freedom that first time collaborators Dixon and Heath felt when working together.
