We caught up with 10 of Europe\u2019s rising stars to <\/b>ask them about their style, inspirations and the songs they can\u2019t stop <\/b>listening to.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Dominik Bittmann<\/b><\/h4>\n

Elevating basics and bringing underwear outwards Dominik Bittmann is growing his own Paris brand while working as part of the team at Ludovic de Saint Sernin. His work is known for its reinterpretation of classic fashion conventions.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>A romantic and reimagined interpretation of modern-day dressing culture.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?
\n<\/b>Small details and finishings. Especially underwear, as it captures beauty and complexity.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>Lately, it\u2019s LP1 <\/i>by FKA twigs.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?
\n<\/b>Usually it\u2019s Lana Del Rey, Crystal Castles, Lorde or Lykke Li.<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?<\/b>
\n<\/i>Lady Gaga.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?
\n<\/b>Symbiotic and dependent on each other.<\/p>\n

Gerrit Jacob<\/b><\/h4>\n

A rising talent of the Berlin fashion scene, Gerrit Jacob\u2019s signature airbrush style and custom Herm\u00e8s bags have been spotted on the likes of Rosal\u00eda, A$AP Rocky, Lil Nas X and Burna Boy. His unique approach sees him successfully fuse the visual language of contemporary streetwear with coveted classics.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>I do whatever I feel drawn to at that very moment. I am not a huge fan of describing my own stuff to other people, it is much more interesting for everyone to decide that for themselves.<\/p>\n

What aspects of music have inspired your clothes?<\/b>
\n<\/i>The cover artwork for Von<\/i> by Sigur R\u00f3s.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?
\n<\/b>Summer Walker, Sophie, The Prodigy, Blood Orange, 070 Shake.<\/p>\n

Which musicians would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?<\/b>
\nEvian Christ, Sophie (RIP) or Kelela.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?<\/b>
\nWell, in terms of creative disciplines, those two are the most connected, even more than art and fashion. Music and fashion are both about performance and capturing a moment. They both move quickly \u2013 that makes them exciting.<\/p>\n

What music most accurately embodies the vibe of your <\/b>creations?<\/b>
\n\u2018Genesis\u2019 by Grimes, according to ChatGPT.<\/p>\n

If you had a runway show tomorrow, what would the <\/b>soundtrack be?<\/b>
\nThis changes every day, but I would get a friend to remix songs that I listened to while making the clothes.<\/p>\n

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your <\/b>life, what would it be?

Leo Prevaes<\/b><\/h4>\n

A graduate of the prestigious Berlin art school Wei\u00dfensee Kunsthochschule, Leo Prevaes is a womenswear designer currently working at Celine, having previously honed his talents as part of the womenswear team at Chlo\u00e9 in Paris.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic? <\/b><\/p>\n

Sensible memories and chewing gum.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?
\n<\/b>Family heirlooms.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>I am inspired by how artists work. I love it when genres clash \u2013 that\u2019s where depth lies.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?
\n<\/b>I recently rediscovered the shuffle tool on Spotify. It\u2019s traumatising and rewarding.<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?
\n<\/b>Caroline Polachek.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?
\n<\/b>Neither would exist without the other.<\/p>\n

What music embodies the vibe of your creations?
\n<\/b> For my latest collection, it\u2019s the music from The Sims 2<\/i>.<\/p>\n

If you had a runway show tomorrow, what would the <\/b>soundtrack be?<\/b>
\n\u2018Fashion\u2019 by David Bowie.<\/p>\n

Kasia Kucharska<\/b><\/h4>\n

From the red carpet of the British Fashion Awards to the \u00a0street-style looks of Paris Fashion Week, FCG [Fashion Council Germany]\/Vogue<\/i> Fashion Fund winner Kasia Kucharska had an ascendant 2024. Having graduated from Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste Berlin with an MA in fashion and product design in 2019, she began sharing her latex garments on Instagram, where she has amassed a devoted following.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>All of our garments are strictly made out of latex. It\u2019s a postmodern take on lace, as I wanted to bring that back into the modern wardrobe.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?<\/b>
\nBeing out and about inspires me. With headspace, the inspiration flows.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?<\/b>
\n<\/i>I love Whitney Houston, Madonna and Rihanna. It\u2019s about them, not the genre. I would also love it if Madonna and RiRi wanted to wear my clothes.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?<\/b>
\nThey go hand in hand. Performers need both. I see myself as a provider in that construct.<\/p>\n

What music embodies the vibe of your creations?
\n<\/b>A mix of different sounds. Something classical and something medieval mixed with something very new.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the next year with regard to <\/b>your work?
\n<\/b>I want to continue working on different things and start other projects that aren\u2019t necessarily just fashion.<\/p>\n

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your <\/b>life, what would it be?<\/b> \u2018Diamonds\u2019 by Rihanna.<\/p>\n

Lou de B\u00e8toly<\/b><\/h4>\n

Turning bodily aesthetics inside out and upside down with fresh takes on lingerie and upcycled materials, Lou de B\u00e8toly landed in Berlin in 2018 and has been fusing her feminine aesthetics with the subculture styles of the city ever since.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>A lot of details. Intricate. Feminine.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?<\/b>
\nTextiles. It\u2019s the idea of creating fabrics, interlacing different techniques, so at the end it blends into one.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>I often listen to the radio or the Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify. The only thing I don\u2019t get fed up with is classical music.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?<\/b><\/p>\n

A lot of classical music and French music. French pop.<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing <\/b>your clothes?<\/b>
\nI have to say, it\u2019s more like the opposite. I love being surprised by who wants to wear my clothes.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between music <\/b>and fashion?<\/b>
\nMusic can put you in a certain mood, which goes hand-in-hand with fashion. Together, they can create a movie-like setting.<\/p>\n

What music embodies the vibe of your creations?<\/b>
\nA mix of classical and electronic music.<\/p>\n

Mona Gutheil<\/b><\/p>\n

Known for celebrity dressing, Mona Gutheil and their partner Maximilian Benz met five years ago in Amsterdam and have worked collaboratively as Monamobile ever since. Bringing gadgetry to clothing, their pieces have been spotted on the likes of Kesha and HorsegiirL.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?<\/b>
\n<\/i>We consciously play with the manipulation of attention. We use our creations as a means of confrontational social criticism. Our starting point is always a mobile object and then we go from there.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?
\n<\/b>Gadgets!<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you <\/b>create?
\n<\/b>We don\u2019t listen to music while creating, to get into a workflow. Outside, however, our lives are full of music!<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?
\n<\/b>Symbiotic. Music is an expression of identity, and fashion is an extension of that.<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the next year with regard <\/b>to your work?<\/b>
\nWe want to launch our first capsule collection and start limited-edition items.<\/p>\n

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your <\/b>life, what would it be?
\n<\/b> A song my flatmate made called \u2018DJDJ\u2019 for Monamobile.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Tati<\/b><\/h4>\n

An MA knitwear graduate of Paris\u2019s Institut Fran\u00e7ais de la Mode, designer Tati cut her teeth in knitwear working at Kenzo before launching her own brand in 2023. The craft runs in her blood, as her family once owned a knitwear factory in the Allg\u00e4u region of Germany, inspiring her own punk-inspired take on it.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic? What is your <\/b>signature?
\n<\/b>Bold, subversive and nostalgic, with elements of folklore, punk and kitsch.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?<\/b>
\nMy mum, Sofia Coppola movies, [the artist] Rachel Hodgson, Louise Bourgeois, Judy Chicago, Japanese street style, Wet Leg and Baby Queen.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?<\/b>
\nWet Leg, Baby Queen, LA Witch, [music producer] Leila.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?
\n<\/b>Jazz.<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?<\/b>
\nBaby Queen.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?<\/b>
\nThey can\u2019t exist without one another. They are married until death and beyond.<\/p>\n

What music embodies the vibe of your creations?<\/b>
\nSexy indie rock.<\/p>\n

If you had a runway show tomorrow, what would be <\/b>the soundtrack?
\n\u2018<\/b>Bubble Pop Electric\u2019 by Gwen Stefani and Johnny Vulture [aka Andr\u00e9 3000].<\/p>\n

What are your plans for the next year with regard to <\/b>your work?
\n<\/b>Showing my very first runway collection and more pop-ups in London, Seoul and New York.<\/p>\n

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of <\/b>your life, what would it be?<\/b>
\n<\/i>\u2018Bitter Sweet Symphony\u2019 by The Verve. traditional craftsmanship with a modern, playful edge.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?<\/b>
\nI am very inspired by dialogue. The way that people talk, share stories and express emotions sparks new ideas for me. Otherwise, I am inspired by personal experiences and music.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>I am very into pop music, specifically female artists. I have been very inspired by Ela., Ambra and Naaz.<\/p>\n

Tim Stolte<\/b><\/h4>\n

With design roles at both Louis Vuitton and Lacoste already under his belt, Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp graduate Tim Stolte is fast growing a name for himself with his conceptual pieces, known for their blending of nostalgia and avant-garde aesthetics.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>I grew up in a small German town, I have a lot of nostalgia for that. I also love to add a Charles James reference to my garments.<\/p>\n

When designing, what inspires you the most?
\n<\/b>I am very inspired by Charles James \u2013 by his patterns and ideas. I love spending time with the garment and deconstructing it. I am also currently getting into Halston.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>For my BA collection, I wanted to see how music worked with the garment. I made a playlist to go along with it. It had a lot of Blood Orange and Sega Bodega in it.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you <\/b>create?<\/b>
\nCurrently, I\u2019ve been listening to a lot of Mitski. Otherwise, I love powerful music by artists like Cobrah or Slater. When I need to think after a full day of work, I love depressing German music like Casper, which I grew up listening to.<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?<\/b>
\nCharli XCX or Chappell Roan.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship between <\/b>fashion and music?<\/b>
\nThey both create an image. Fashion\u2019s image is inherently linked to music.<\/p>\n

What music embodies the vibe of your creations?<\/b>
\nA lot of AG Cook\u2019s music, I\u2019d say.<\/p>\n

Igor Dieryck<\/b><\/h4>\n

Currently working in menswear at Herm\u00e8s, Igor Dieryck\u2019s name first came to prominence when he graduated from the MA fashion course at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2022. Since then, he has gone on to receive recognition at the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories \u2013 Hy\u00e8res, has worked on countless collaborations and has become the true embodiment of a rising star.<\/p>\n

How would you describe your aesthetic?
\n<\/b>I love putting a surreal twist on usual garments by referencing everyday objects.<\/p>\n

What music has inspired your clothes?
\n<\/b>I listen to everything and anything, from the most commercial stuff to Belgian student hymns.<\/p>\n

What music do you like to listen to when you create?
\n<\/b>When I make clothes, I listen to political podcasts. It helps me concentrate!<\/p>\n

Which musician would you like to see wearing your <\/b>clothes?<\/b>
\nRecently I got into this \u201990s British group called Everything But the Girl. I heard their music in an underground bar in Tokyo. I would love to dress them.<\/p>\n

How would you define the relationship<\/b> <\/i>between <\/b>fashion and music?
\n<\/b>With music, you can modify the energy that people feel during a fashion show. It can change the entire vibe, regardless of the clothes. Both of them are interconnected.<\/p>\n
