Just 30 seconds prior, he asked if we could move over, get some air. A little breeze was appreciated after his Spring\/Summer 2027 show. His last for Diesel. It was loud, it was sensual, and it was packed. So packed that last minute, seats had to be added into the existing four rows. In total, 1200 attendees watched as Martens presented a sartorial mash-up of what he has done best in his six years at Diesel.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\" ><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"eltdf-image-gallery  eltdf-ig-grid-type eltdf-small-space  \">\n\t<div class=\"eltdf-ig-inner eltdf-outer-space eltdf-ig-grid eltdf-ig-two-columns\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"eltdf-ig-image eltdf-item-space\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"eltdf-ig-image-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/germany.10magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Look-05.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"eltdf-ig-image eltdf-item-space\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"eltdf-ig-image-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1500\" src=\"https:\/\/germany.10magazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/DIESEL-SS27-CATWALK-DETAILS_-22.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the first 12 looks showed a more business-casual side of the brand \u2013 tightly wrapped leather trenches, parts of striped dress shirts sown into ripped cotton sweaters \u2013, the collection quickly switched into nostalgia mode. Trompe-l&#8217;\u0153il, coated denim, clever reconstruction. Again, what Glenn Martens and his Diesel design team know to do best. A team, he tells me, he inherited at a point where they were making t-shirts and jeans. He took them on an experimental journey that now stands at a creative crossroads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Martens own type of floral embroidery, something we saw iterations of in his prior Fall\/Winter 2026 collection, made a highly deconstructed comeback. Orchids, based on Diesel\u2019s \u201cDesire\u201d perfume, dissolve and disappear revealing whatever garments were styled beneath. Skirts, shirts, lingerie. \u201cIt&#8217;s like the walk of shame the morning after,\u201d Martens says. \u201cYou get out of the hotel and you think: Who was this person? You put a t-shirt on, but it&#8217;s completely wrong.\u201d That cheeky sexyness of Diesel, but more mature. Clips of the hot and heavy acts made it onto Instagram within seconds, along with the headbanging. People got up, people cheered, people got distracted. Simply because it wasn\u2019t. Some didn\u2019t like that, but they never do, regardless of who\u2019s showing. But as he told me himself, Diesel is never going to be a luxury brand. For him it\u2019s about community and fun. Being as much for the people as you can be, which is indeed represented in his designs. No need to be careful with it, let it tear and rip, because \u201cthe more you wear it, the more it lives\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two suitcases full of Diesel collections are packed and ready to leave along with Martens. Emotional? Yes, but he got his full-circle moment as the model who opened his very first Diesel show closed it.
