New York meets Tokyo: All-American brand Tommy Hilfiger invites FRGMT\u2019s Hiroshi Fujiwara to reinterpret an assortment of its \u201990s designs, merging classic American preppy style with a touch of Japanese streetwear.<\/p>\n

The collection features signature Tommy Hilfiger pieces, including a rugby button-down shirt and a varsity jacket, alongside nostalgic favourites such as the Regatta jacket and duffel bag. Fresh FRGMT details add a playful twist, from thunderbolt graphics and polka dots to the signature Tommy flag in an eye-catching light blue. Made from dry cotton jersey, washed nylon, and heavyweight cotton twill, the collection brings a contemporary edge to Tommy Hilfiger\u2019s signature aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Despite growing up on opposite sides of the globe, Hiroshi Fujiwara and Tommy Hilfiger share a deep-rooted passion for subcultures. At just 19, Hilfiger opened The People\u2019s Place<\/i>, a space where young people could celebrate style, music, and community. He went on to challenge traditional posh fashion codes with vibrant colours and oversized proportions, bringing the aesthetic into the world of \u201990s hip-hop.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Fujiwara became fascinated with London\u2019s punk scene as a teenager before discovering hip-hop culture and the rappers of \u201990s New York City. Bringing these influences back to Tokyo, he became one of Japan\u2019s first hip-hop DJs and a major influence on Harajuku street fashion, later founding the streetwear brand FRGMT. \u201cThe Tommy attitude in the \u201990s stood out to me because it was about more than just style,\u201d Fujiwara says on the collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
