Mariah Carey is officially back on Christmas duty, and this year she’s bringing Gucci along for the festivities.
Directed by “Spring Breakers” helmer Harmony Korine, the brand’s gifting campaign film naturally features the singer’s iconic holiday tune “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” and follows hotel staff in a mad dash to ready a suite for Carey’s arrival. Elaborate decorations and over-the-top holiday preparations set the stage for the singer’s arrival, who appears wearing pieces from Gucci’s new Butterfly special collection, a nod to the singer’s 1997 album of the same name.
It wouldn’t be the holiday season without glossy imagery showcasing gift-giving possibliies and Gucci’s offering does not disappoint. The Starlet bag, Gucci duffel and GG Marmont bags, all star in the campaign, along with the Paparazzo in supple suede calfskin. The luxury house also spotlights gifts and pieces that can easily elevate a holiday wardrobe. The GG Monogram boots, Horsebit loafers, Ace sneakers and Vittoria pumps are featured, in addition to winter essentials like beanies and scarves.
