10 LOVES: The Refreshingly Playful Topologie x Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Capsule Collection

Technical accessory brand Topologie has joined forces with Japanese avant garde fashion brand Maison Mihara Yasuhiro to create a surrealist capsule collection — inspired by your favourite early morning routines, that is as playful as it is refreshing.

Dropping globally on May 1st, the collection reimagines Topologie’s utilitarian Wares System™ through Mihara Yasuhiro’s signature lens of deconstruction and “Frankenstein” design logic. The result is a series of everyday essential items that feel like breakfast table fever dreams.

The core of the collection centres on three eccentric motifs which include, The Banana, The Soft Serve (Ice Cream), and The Toothpaste. While these items might seem like random kitsch, they have been meticulously engineered into high-performance hardware.

Beyond the visual gags, a key technical debut in this capsule is the detachable handle component. By integrating MMY’s sculptural elements into Topologies’ interchangeable strap ecosystem, standard handles can be swapped out for the more whimsical handles, taking customisation to the next level.

The collection also introduces a new Puffer Strap offering. This oversized, padded crossbody strap provides a textural contrast to the hard-shell motifs of the bags and ensures that even the most out-there designs remain comfortable for everyday use.
